Designing Patterns With Procreate
Originally, eyeballing my reference photo (or just coming up with something from my own imagination) then freehand drawing the design directly onto my fabric was my preferred method of transfer. The reasons behind this had to do with how quickly I wanted to start working on my piece, and the extra creative freedom it allowed.
However, as time went on and my work started getting more intricate, I found that tracing my reference photos enabled me to better capture all the smaller details. This is where my iPad and Procreate came in. In the tutorial above, I share how I make my embroider patterns with this digital art studio app.
